In January 2021, CHOP SHOP teamed up with TeenTix for a FREE Arts Journalism Intensive! In the four-week series, participants were mentored by Gabrielle Kazuko Nomura Gainor, interviewed contemporary dance artists, and wrote articles about the artists featured in the 2021 CHOP SHOP Contemporary Dance Festival. We are grateful for the financial support of Case van Rij and Glenn Kawasaki in making this Arts Journalism Intensive a reality.

TeenTix is releasing the articles written by these incredible young journalists throughout February and we’ll be linking to them here, so you can catch all the insights they offer into the artists and work seen at CHOP SHOP 2021. Happy reading!
